TBI – NEW PARTNER OF MADASTER
Netherlands, Rotterdam – 11 September 2018 – TBI Holdings B.V. and Madaster Services signed a partner agreement, today. TBI, thus, is making an important contribution to Madaster’s further development. Madaster is an independent public platform that generates material passports with the aim of eliminating waste, worldwide. The platform can be used by private individuals, companies and government authorities, and is developed by Madaster Services, under the supervision of the Madaster Foundation.
Madaster functions as an online library that documents materials and buildings, similar to the registration of property ownership and land division at a land registry. All users of Madaster can generate a material passport for their buildings. A material passport contains information about the quality and origins of materials and their current location. This makes them easier to recover and reuse, in cases of renovation and restoration. Buildings, thus, become documented ‘storage units’ of materials.
‘Because of the collaboration with TBI, Madaster is increasingly becoming a regular element of the construction process. Madaster will learn from this collaboration, as TBI will be applying large-scale implementation of the Madaster Platform by providing material passports for the buildings and infrastructural projects of TBI enterprises. This collaboration means yet another step in the adoption of material passports in this sector.’ – Martijn Oostenrijk, Director of Madaster Services B.V.
‘This partnership enables TBI enterprises to provide optimal service to their customers with respect to fulfilling their ambitions on circular building construction. Our staff members will receive training in how to use the Madaster Platform and create material passports. Continual improvement is a key aspect, here. We will make these efforts in close collaboration with Madaster. In this way, we are focusing on more added value for our customers, for circular entrepreneurship as well as for innovation.’ – Wendeline Besier, Manager MVO TBI Holdings
