Matrix ONE: Building Circularity

News, Projects 20 jul 2023
Matrix ONE is MVRDV’s latest project. The 6-storey, 13,000 m2 laboratory and office building serves as the main building of Amsterdam’s Matrix Innovation Center.
The complex is designed to be disassembled, so that 90% of the building’s materials can be reused. The building’s digital model, with over 120,000 individual components, has been included in Madaster and is provided with a comprehensive material passport — documenting all materials and products used in the building for potential future reuse. We are very proud to have been able to register this special project on our platform. Photo: Daria Scagliola
