Policy efforts have laid a foundations for a circular economy in the Netherlands. Amsterdam was the first city to commit to becoming circular.
The ambition level is not to be sneezed at: Within seven years, Amsterdam intends to halve its use of new raw materials and to be fully circular by 2050, relying only on used and recycled materials. Will they succeed? BBC journalist Suzanne Bearne delved into the matter and put a few people through their paces, including our board member Pablo van den Bosch.
